
SERDANG, Sept 6 –The Laboratory of Halal Services, Halal Products Research Institute (IPPH) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) received a visit from Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industries (MITI), Datuk Ahmad Maslan, who inspected the halal-related research facility.
The visit was in line with government efforts to promote halal-related investment and trade to turn Malaysia into an international halal hub. During the visit, he was briefed by Director of IPPH UPM, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Yazid Abd Manap on the laboratory that provided a wide range of critical services for halal food supply network as well as non-food products such as cosmetic and other consumer products.
Also present was upm Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datin Sri Dr. Aini Ideris.
